Zoom and KiteGTM

Last updated 3 October 2026

Kite is an introductions platform: it identifies the right people and gets you introduced, handling the outreach and the replies along the way. When someone agrees to a call, the Zoom integration puts it on your Zoom account with its own meeting link. You decide whether KiteGTM books it for you or asks you first. A booked call is optional; an introduction can also be handed over for you to get in touch directly.

What it does

  • Creates a Zoom meeting for each call booked from a reply, on your own Zoom account, and sends the prospect its join link in the confirmation.
  • Reads the start times of your scheduled Zoom meetings, so the times KiteGTM offers never clash with a Zoom meeting you already have. This matters most when Zoom is the only calendar you connect.
  • Moves the Zoom meeting when a prospect asks for another time. The join link stays the same.
  • Works alongside Google Calendar and Microsoft 365. Zoom can be the video link for calls on a calendar that makes none of its own, or for every call.

KiteGTM does not join, record, or read the content of any Zoom meeting, and it does not touch meetings it did not create beyond reading their times.

Before you start

  • A KiteGTM workspace.
  • A Zoom account that can schedule meetings. A free Zoom account works, with Zoom's own limits on meeting length.
  • If your Zoom account is managed by your company, your Zoom admin may need to allow the KiteGTM app first.

Adding the app

Connect Zoom in KiteGTM

  1. Sign in to KiteGTM at app.kitegtm.com.
  2. Go to Settings, then CRM and integrations, and open Zoom under Where calls happen. You can also press Connect Zoom under Settings, Calendar, Booking rules.
  3. Press Sign in to Zoom. Zoom opens and asks you to sign in.
  4. Read the permissions Zoom lists and press Allow. You come back to KiteGTM, which shows Zoom as connected with the account you used.

You can also add KiteGTM from the Zoom App Marketplace. It sends you to the same place in KiteGTM to finish.

Using it

Zoom as your calendar

If Zoom is where you hold your calls and you keep no other calendar, open Settings, Calendar and press Use as default on the Zoom row. KiteGTM then offers times inside your booking hours that do not clash with your scheduled Zoom meetings, and each booked call becomes a Zoom meeting on your account. Zoom does not send calendar invitations for these meetings, so the prospect gets the time and the link in KiteGTM's reply.

Zoom as the video link

With Google Calendar or Microsoft 365 as your calendar, the meeting goes there as usual. Under Settings, Calendar, Booking rules, the video link card sets which link it carries:

  • By default, a calendar that makes its own link (Google Meet, Microsoft Teams) keeps using it, and Zoom is used where the calendar makes none.
  • Turn on Use Zoom for every call and every video call gets its own Zoom meeting instead.
  • A saved meeting link of any service is the backup if Zoom cannot make a meeting.

You choose how much KiteGTM does

Booking on its own is your choice, and you can change it at any time. Under Settings, Autonomy and replies, the Book a time switch decides it:

  • On: when somebody agrees to a time, KiteGTM books it, creates the Zoom meeting, and confirms it with the link. Anything it is unsure of comes to you instead.
  • Off: KiteGTM writes the reply and waits. You book the call with one press from the inbox, and the Zoom meeting is created then.

Removing the app

You can remove it from either side.

From KiteGTM

  1. Go to Settings, then CRM and integrations and open Zoom.
  2. Press Disconnect.

From Zoom

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Open My library (called Manage, Added Apps in the older Marketplace).
  3. Find KiteGTM, open its … menu and press Remove.

What happens to your data when you remove it

Removing the app either way deletes the Zoom access KiteGTM stored for your workspace straight away. When you remove it in Zoom, Zoom tells KiteGTM and the access is deleted on that notice. KiteGTM then creates, moves, and reads no more Zoom meetings.

The Zoom meetings KiteGTM already created stay on your Zoom account, because they are yours and a prospect may be expecting one. Your record of a booked call stays in KiteGTM, with the link it was sent with, until you delete it or close your workspace. The Privacy Policy says what KiteGTM keeps and for how long, and how to ask for your data to be deleted.
