KiteGTM in Claude, ChatGPT and Codex
Last updated 4 October 2026
Kite is an introductions platform. Tell Kite what you want to achieve. Kite identifies the right people and gets you introduced. The KiteGTM connector lets you ask about that work, and act on it, from the AI app you already use.
What it can read
- Missions: each mission's state, who was written to, who replied, and what happens next. A mission sets what KiteGTM pursues: the market, the decision-makers and what a qualified opportunity looks like.
- Companies and buyer fits: the companies and decision-makers in a mission, by stage, and one person's pursuit in full. A buyer fit is a verified match to your target, not a sign that they want to buy.
- Opportunities: opportunities and whether each is an Introduction. An Introduction requires willingness to talk and your required criteria; developing interest, a reply or a booking alone does not establish one.
- Conversations: your email, LinkedIn and SMS conversations, and every message with one person.
- Campaigns: your email, LinkedIn and SMS campaigns, their settings and progress, and the people in each.
- Contacts: your contact book and your recent contact imports.
- Results and activity: results for a date range, and what KiteGTM did in your workspace over the last days.
- People and credits: finding a person by name, email or company, and your credit balance.
You can also ask a question in plain words, such as which missions need attention, and KiteGTM answers from your live data.
What it can do
- Draft a reply in a conversation, on its channel (email, LinkedIn or SMS), with exactly the text given. It is saved as a draft and nothing is sent: you review it in KiteGTM and press Send there.
- Pause or resume a mission's search for new companies.
- Pause, resume or stop pursuing one person, with the reason when you stop.
- Mark a person as a qualified opportunity on your own judgement, and record an opportunity's outcome: accepted, won, lost or withdrawn.
- Import contacts from a CSV or Excel file into your contact book, and preview campaign additions before completing them in KiteGTM. An AI app cannot enroll people into a campaign: it returns a request to review and complete enrollment in the signed-in app. Importing into the contact book sends no messages. You can also remove contacts from a campaign. Enrollment in the app retains its consent, suppression and duplicate checks.
- Pause an email, LinkedIn or SMS campaign.
Each action is its own tool, marked as an action, so Claude, ChatGPT and Codex can ask you before it runs. No reply is sent from an AI app: a person sends it from KiteGTM.
What it cannot do
- Anything with money. Buying credits, changing your plan, payment methods and your subscription stay in KiteGTM, under Settings.
- Send a reply. Replies are saved as drafts for you to send in KiteGTM.
- Create, edit, start, resume or delete a campaign. Those stay in KiteGTM.
- Enroll people into a campaign. Review and complete enrollment in KiteGTM.
- Reach another workspace, or see more than your own account can.
- Connect without you. Every app needs you to sign in and press Allow.
Where prospects come from, and opt-outs
- Prospects come from KiteGTM’s business-contact data, whose details are compiled from public professional and business sources and business-contact sourcing and verification services, or from contacts you bring yourself: a CSV or Excel import, or your CRM. The privacy policy sets out the legal basis for holding and sharing that data.
- Anyone can be removed from KiteGTM’s data by emailing privacy@kitegtm.com. Our team handles the request manually, removes active sourced-contact copies, and retains a minimal suppression record to prevent future sourcing and outreach across KiteGTM workspaces. This is separate from a single customer’s do-not-contact list.
- Email: every cold email carries a one-click unsubscribe.
- A reply asking to stop, on email, LinkedIn or SMS, puts the person on your workspace’s do-not-contact list for the channels KiteGTM can link to that identity. A request KiteGTM is unsure about is held for you to decide.
- SMS: customer campaigns require recorded consent, the first text says “Reply STOP to opt out”, and STOP suppresses outreach through the channels linked to that identity.
- Your do-not-contact list: you can add people to it yourself, and every send, on every channel, checks it.
Before you start
- A KiteGTM account. You can create one here.
- Claude, ChatGPT or Codex, on a plan that lets you add connectors or apps.
Protecting connected calendar data
The AI app uses your own account with that provider. KiteGTM’s OpenAI API settings do not control that account. Google-derived information must not be used to train generalised AI models, including when it appears in a conversation or a meeting-time suggestion.
- ChatGPT: Business, Enterprise and Edu exclude connected-app data from training by default. On a personal plan, turn off “Improve the model for everyone” before using Google-derived information. See OpenAI’s connected-app policy.
- Claude: Anthropic excludes raw connector and MCP content from model-improvement data, but its policy has exceptions for content copied into a conversation. Use a commercial no-training plan or turn off model improvement on your personal account to protect conversation content as well. See Anthropic’s training policy.
- Codex or another client: check the terms and data controls for the exact product, plan and model provider you use. Use it with Google-derived information only when training on that information is excluded.
Keep model-improvement sharing off, and do not submit calendar information or conversations containing it as training feedback. These are requirements for using Google-derived information through the connection; KiteGTM cannot inspect or change your external account settings. Disconnect the app in Settings, AI apps if its terms or settings no longer meet these requirements.
Connecting
Every app connects to one address: https://api.kitegtm.com/mcp
Claude
- Add KiteGTM from the Claude connector directory, or open Settings, then Connectors, add a custom connector, and paste the address.
- Claude sends you to KiteGTM. Sign in the way you usually do, with Google, LinkedIn or your password.
- KiteGTM shows which app is asking and where its answer goes. Press Allow.
ChatGPT
- Add KiteGTM from the ChatGPT plugin directory. Until it is listed there, add a custom app with the address, which ChatGPT keeps under developer mode in its settings.
- Sign in to KiteGTM when ChatGPT sends you there, and press Allow.
Claude Code
claude mcp add --transport http kitegtm https://api.kitegtm.com/mcp
Then open /mcp in Claude Code to sign in and press Allow.
Codex
codex mcp add kitegtm --url https://api.kitegtm.com/mcp, then codex mcp login kitegtm to sign in and press Allow.
Things to ask
- Which of my missions need attention, and why?
- Show me this week's qualified opportunities and what each person wants.
- Who replied to us today, and which replies still need me?
- Draft a reply to my newest interested reply, so I can send it from KiteGTM.
- Stop pursuing anyone who told us they are the wrong person.
What the AI app receives
When you ask, the AI app receives the KiteGTM records it asked for. These can include the names, companies, job titles, email addresses and messages of the people you are in conversation with. What the AI provider does with them is governed by your agreement with that provider. KiteGTM keeps a record of each request the app makes, as it does for everything done in your workspace. The Privacy Policy has the detail.
Disconnecting
- In KiteGTM, go to Settings, then AI apps.
- Press Disconnect beside the app. It stops at once: anything it asks KiteGTM from then on is refused.
You can also remove the connector in the AI app itself. Disconnecting in KiteGTM is what ends its access on our side.
