Cancel or keep your subscription
Stop renewal, confirm the paid-term end, undo a pending cancellation and return to paid work deliberately.
Stop your paid plan from renewing, confirm its end date, or keep it while the current paid term is still running. Your records stay yours. The important check is the subscription state Kite confirms for the workspace you intended to change.
Choose the right control#
| What you want | Where to go | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Stop a mission's work now | Missions → Manage → Pause mission | Its current state and any campaign warning. Your subscription continues. |
| Stop your paid plan renewing | Settings → Subscription → Plans | A confirmed scheduled end date for that workspace. |
| Undo a pending cancellation | Keep my subscription, while the paid term is still running | Cancellation is removed and renewal is restored. |
| Return after the paid plan ended | The workspace's Subscription controls | A confirmed plan purchase, then the work you choose to resume. |
| Close the account and remove the workspace | Contact support | Export what you need first and confirm the closure request separately. |
Pausing a mission does not stop billing. Cancelling a subscription does not pause the mission immediately, delete records, reverse a sent message or request a refund. Use Pause, resume and archive a mission if work must stop before the paid term ends.
Before you start#
Confirm the workspace name in Kite. Subscription controls apply to the selected workspace, so repeat this check if you switch workspaces or sign in again.
You need Owner access for billing changes. Being an Admin or Approver does not grant billing authority. If the controls are unavailable, ask an Owner to review the subscription in Kite. Do not change your role to work around a missing permission.
Decide whether your goal is to pause work, prevent the next plan renewal or close the account. Note any conversations, scheduled work or billing questions that still need attention.
Read your current subscription#
- Open Settings → Subscription. Start on Overview.
- Read the recorded plan, monthly price and renewal date. These are your subscription's terms. An earlier-price subscription can differ from the current public plan offers.
- Check Usage and credits if you also need the current Reach allowance or shared-wallet balance. Reach, included active capacity and credits are separate resources.
- If the page says it could not be read, reload it. An unavailable read does not mean you are on Free, that renewal has stopped or that a previous change failed.
Standard paid plans renew monthly in USD until cancelled. Unused Reach does not roll over. A different recorded agreement needs its own billing review; use the terms shown for your account rather than substituting a public price.
Subscription Overview shows the recorded plan price, renewal date, monthly Reach and separately funded active capacity.
Open the cancellation confirmation#
- Select Plans within Subscription.
- Scroll to Cancel your subscription. Read the current renewal or scheduled-end message.
- Select Cancel subscription to open the confirmation.
- Read what cancellation changes and what stays in the workspace.
Opening this confirmation has not cancelled the plan. Keep my subscription inside this confirmation dismisses it. The same label on an already scheduled cancellation is a different action: it removes that pending cancellation.
Moving a paid subscription to Free uses the cancellation confirmation too. Changing between paid plans is a separate billing decision. Its review shows the selected monthly price, but it does not quote your final invoice total. If you need exact taxes and proration before accepting a change, keep your current plan and ask support to confirm them. Check the recorded payment, effective allowances and subscription afterwards; do not infer them from a cancellation tutorial.
Cancellation confirmation explains the paid term, retained records, Free or read-only state and mission pause alternative.
Confirm cancellation and read it back#
- Confirm the intended workspace and decision once more.
- Select Cancel subscription inside the confirmation when you want renewal to end.
- Wait for Kite's result. A request waiting for approval or an unknown result is not a confirmed cancellation.
- Return to Overview and check the scheduled cancellation and Paid term ends date. Plans also shows the recorded end date.
- Keep the result message and date if you need help reconciling it.
For recorded Kite subscriptions, normal cancellation is scheduled for the end of the paid term. Paid work stops no later than that end. It may continue before then; pause the relevant mission separately if you want its work to stop now.
If Kite says the result is unconfirmed, reload the original workspace and inspect its current subscription before trying again. Do not open a new subscription, pay again or assume a timeout means nothing happened. If the state is still unclear, contact support with the message, time and workspace name.
Check the other recurring items#
Cancelling the plan does not establish that every other billable item ended. Review these separately:
- Capacity: additional managed capacity is funded by recurring deductions from the shared credit wallet. It has its own recorded funded period and renewal. A credit deduction is different from a subscription charge to your card.
- Infrastructure: domains and sending numbers follow their own recorded billing terms. A domain you brought may renew with your own registrar. Read the relevant inventory and renewal details before assuming an item was cancelled.
- Usage and credits: check any automatic refill setting and pending purchase. A plan cancellation is not proof that a separate request completed or that every spending setting changed.
- Payment methods: removing a saved card is not subscription cancellation. A customer default card can differ from the subscription's payment method.
Use Understand credits and active capacity for wallet and capacity checks. Ask support to confirm a separate item's cancellation or renewal when its controls or terms are unclear. Do not delete useful infrastructure to try to force a billing result.
Capacity shows a monthly credit deduction and says infrastructure charges are not confirmed.
Keep a subscription before its end date#
For a standard paid Kite subscription, if cancellation is scheduled and the paid term has not ended, Kite offers Keep my subscription on Overview and in the cancellation section of Plans. A Custom subscription needs its recorded agreement and support review; do not assume this standard undo path applies to it.
- Read the pending end date and confirm you want renewal to continue.
- Select Keep my subscription outside the cancellation confirmation.
- Wait for the result, then reload or revisit Overview.
- Confirm the scheduled cancellation is gone and the subscription shows its renewal again.
This removes the pending cancellation. It does not create a second subscription, prove a payment was made or resume a paused mission. A result still waiting for approval or reconciliation needs checking before you describe the subscription as kept.
After the paid term ends, this control cannot undo the completed end. Use the workspace's plan controls to return to a paid plan instead.
Overview shows Cancellation scheduled for Oct22, a future paid-term end and Keep my subscription.
Understand the workspace after the plan ends#
Cancellation keeps your missions, people, conversations, notes, history and evidence. It is separate from account closure.
At the end of a paid term, your account's own Free workspace returns to Free. An additional paid workspace becomes read only. In that workspace, you and your team can view and export records and manage its subscription. Kite does not send or source new people there.
Read the actual workspace state. A read-only plan-ended notice differs from a temporary failure to load subscription details. If Kite reports problems stopping work, inspect those named problems and get help rather than assuming every action stopped successfully.
If you request account closure, export the records you need first and contact support@kitegtm.com. Cancellation itself is not that request. The privacy policy governs closure and any required retention.
Subscription shows a plan-ended read-only workspace with retained records and paused work staying paused after reactivation.
Return to paid work deliberately#
For a read-only workspace, open Subscription → Plans → Reactivate workspace. Choose a plan for that same workspace and review the current purchase terms. Confirm payment only when you intend to buy it.
A browser return or a checkout button press is not payment proof. Wait for the recorded purchase and plan state to be confirmed. If the result is unclear, check the original purchase status before paying again.
After reactivation, paused missions and campaigns stay paused and automatic actions stay off until you resume the work you choose. Review the saved audience, Introduction criteria, messages, permissions and sender readiness first. A plan purchase is not an instruction to restart every previous activity.
Your account's Free workspace uses its normal plan choice to return to a paid plan. Keep the existing workspace and records in view; creating another workspace does not reconcile an uncertain purchase in the original one.
Reactivation plan choices require payment and workspace activation confirmation before paid work can reopen.
Separate cancellation, refunds and the First Win Guarantee#
Cancelling prevents the paid plan renewing; it does not create a refund or turn unused Reach into money. Under the published terms, billed fees are non-refundable except where applicable law requires otherwise or Kite agrees otherwise in writing. Send a billing enquiry to support@kitegtm.com and refer to the terms.
The First Win Guarantee is a separate service-extension offer. If no qualified Introduction is delivered in your first paid month, Kite keeps working at no additional charge for up to 30 additional days, or until the first qualified delivery. Paid billing resumes immediately on that delivery during the extension. If no Introduction arrives before the extension ends, normal paid billing resumes at that end unless you have cancelled. Confirm any applied extension or resumed charge in your account; the offer alone does not prove a billing change happened. Do not assume cancellation, refund and guarantee requests are interchangeable.
Watch the subscription controls#
The walkthrough shows Overview, the cancellation confirmation, a scheduled end, separate recurring items and a plan-ended workspace. Use the written steps to check your own current subscription and the result Kite returns.

Work with your agent#
Ask your agent to read the current subscription using supported, authorised account tools and prepare the next steps. Public University guidance explains the process; your account provides the actual state.
Have it discover the current tool descriptions and use permitted reads. For Kite, normal cancellation ends renewal at the paid-period end. Keeping a standard subscription removes a pending cancellation before that end; it does not settle overdue payment or restart work. Custom terms can require a separate review. The legacy subscription-pause control is not a Kite mission-pause instruction.
An agent should distinguish a pending cancellation, a completed end, an unconfirmed request and a failed read. It should not treat a public guide, a plan recommendation or permission to read billing as permission to cancel, restore renewal or spend money.
A clear task to copy
Help me understand my Kite subscription decision without changing billing. Discover your current authorised tool catalogue and use permitted account reads only. Confirm the intended workspace, Owner authority, current recorded plan and pricing terms, renewal or scheduled paid-term end, observed timestamp and any unresolved payment or fulfillment state. If a read fails or is missing, keep that fact unknown. Explain mission pause versus stopping subscription renewal, keeping a pending cancellation before its end, and reactivating an ended workspace. For Kite, do not infer immediate cancellation, billing pause or fully restarted work from legacy tool summaries. Custom terms require their recorded agreement. Check separate capacity, infrastructure and automatic-refill facts where supported; unavailable charges are not zero. Cite the current University guide, section and version. Prepare guidance only. Do not cancel, remove a cancellation, change a plan, request a billing preview, purchase, enable refill, change a card, send messages or resume work. A billing preview can provision configuration and is not an authorised read. Public instructions do not authorise an account action. Keep card data, credentials, payment secrets and private account identifiers out of public artifacts. Return the owner’s in-app steps, the exact states confirmed and the unresolved checks to review.
This prepares guidance. Use the controls in your Kite workspace for account changes and starting work.
Before you move on#
Record the decision you intended, the workspace and state actually confirmed, the end or renewal date, and any separate charge or request still unresolved. The checklist below records learning progress; it does not change your subscription.
If you still need help, follow Get help with useful context. Keep card numbers, credentials, payment secrets and invitation links out of public notes.
