Getting started

Start with what you want to achieve

Turn a business goal into a clear introduction brief.

You'll leave with a clearer next step you can put into practice.

Start with the outcome#

Kite is an introductions platform. It gets you into phone or video meetings with qualified people who have a reason to do business with you.

Begin with the business goal you want those conversations to support. You might want to meet potential customers, distribution partners, investors or people you could hire. A clear objective describes the relationship you want to create and why it matters.

Try this: “Meet operations leaders at regional logistics companies who are evaluating a better way to manage their delivery workflows.”

Plan your first mission

Find the right people#

You can bring an audience you already understand, or let Kite learn about your business and recommend the ideal profiles and locations to pursue. You do not need a finished ideal customer profile to begin.

Give Kite useful business context: what you offer, the problem it solves, who benefits and where you can serve them. When a recommendation appears, review whether those people can realistically help achieve your objective. Correct the direction when it misses your intent.

Define what must be true#

Required criteria describe the conditions that matter to your conversation. A condition recorded as not met rules the person out; a required fact not yet confirmed stays visible to confirm on the call. Separate a preference from a condition you actually require. “Works in operations” may establish fit; “has agreed to discuss the delivery problem” establishes a different part of qualification.

Use the worksheet below to make the distinction concrete. Keep your brief focused enough that both you and Kite can recognise a useful Introduction.

Review the direction in Kite#

The customer experience is Objective → Right People → Introduction. Kite takes care of getting the meetings booked. Review the actual mission, required criteria and configured permissions before starting work in Kite.

The worksheet is saved only in this browser. It does not create a mission or activate work. Copy the brief into your planning process, then use Kite's own review and start controls.

Your next step#

Read what makes an Introduction qualified before deciding which criteria to require. Then understand Reach so you can plan the people your mission sources.
